Salviamo lo Stambecco: No alla caccia di una specie simbolo salvata dai Savoia.Let's save the Ibex: No to the hunting of a symbolic species saved by the Savoys

Richiesta di ritiro immediato delle disposizioni che prevedono l’abbattimento dello stambecco (Capra ibex) dal Ddl 1552 (c.d. "Ddl Malan" o "Sparatutto")

Gentile Presidente,

nell’Ottocento, grazie alla lungimiranza di Carlo Felice e successivamente di Vittorio Emanuele II, lo stambecco delle Alpi venne salvato dall’estinzione totale. La creazione della Riserva Reale del Gran Paradiso, nata per proteggere questa specie, rappresenta uno dei primi e più fulgidi esempi di tutela ambientale nel nostro Paese, tanto da dare origine al primo Parco Nazionale Italiano .

Oggi, a distanza di oltre un secolo, questo straordinario patrimonio naturalistico e culturale è nuovamente sotto tiro. Le Commissioni Ambiente e Agricoltura del Senato hanno dato il via libera a emendamenti, nell’ambito del disegno di legge 1552 (Ddl Malan), che inseriscono lo stambecco – insieme ad altre specie protette come l’oca selvatica – nell’elenco delle specie cacciabili .

A nome di [Numero dei firmatari/Nome dell'associazione/Cittadini preoccupati], chiediamo con forza il Suo intervento diretto per fermare questo provvedimento per i seguenti motivi:

1. Un precedente pericoloso: Lo stambecco non è una specie sovrabbondante o problematica. È stato salvato grazie a un intervento storico dei Savoia e la sua popolazione, seppur in ripresa, è geneticamente fragile e ancora soggetta a rischi epidemici e climatici .
2. Contro la volontà popolare: Mentre oltre 400.000 cittadini hanno firmato contro questo Ddl e l'85% degli italiani si dichiara contrario alla caccia (sondaggi Ipsos), il Governo sembra assecondare esclusivamente le lobbies venatorie .
3. Un danno d’immagine e di civiltà: Trasformare un simbolo delle Alpi italiane – che richiama turisti e naturalisti da tutto il mondo – in un trofeo da appendere al muro danneggia l'immagine dell'Italia all'estero e rappresenta un inspiegabile passo indietro nella tutela della biodiversità, violando lo spirito dell'art. 9 della Costituzione .

Presidente Meloni, Lei ha il potere e il dovere di impedire questo scempio. Le chiediamo di ascoltare la voce della scienza, della storia e dei cittadini, imponendo la cancellazione di questi emendamenti dal Ddl Malan e bloccando ogni tentativo di reintrodurre la caccia a una specie che l’Italia intera ha protetto per secoli.

Request for immediate withdrawal of the provisions that provide for the killing of the ibex (Capra ibex) from the Legislative Decree 1552 (so-called "Law Malan" or "Shooter") Dear President, in the nineteenth century, thanks to the foresight of Carlo Felice and subsequently of Vittorio Emanuele II, the Alpine ibex was saved from total extinction. The creation of the Gran Paradiso Royal Reserve, created to protect this species, represents one of the first and most shining examples of environmental protection in our country, so much so that it gave rise to the first Italian National Park. Today, more than a century later, this extraordinary natural and cultural heritage is once again under fire. The Environment and Agriculture Committees of the Senate have given the green light to amendments, as part of bill 1552 (Malan bill), which include the ibex - together with other protected species such as the wild goose - in the list of huntable species. On behalf of [Number of signatories/Name of association/Concerned citizens], we strongly ask for your direct intervention to stop this measure for the following reasons: 1. A dangerous precedent: The ibex is not an overabundant or problematic species. It was saved thanks to a historic intervention by the Savoys and its population, although recovering, is genetically fragile and still subject to epidemic and climate risks. 2. Against the will of the people: While over 400,000 citizens have signed against this Bill and 85% of Italians declare themselves against hunting (Ipsos polls), the Government seems to exclusively pander to the hunting lobbies. 3. Damage to image and civilization: Transforming a symbol of the Italian Alps - which attracts tourists and naturalists from all over the world - into a trophy to hang on the wall damages Italy's image abroad and represents an inexplicable step backwards in the protection of biodiversity, violating the spirit of the art. 9 of the Constitution. President Meloni, you have the power and the duty to prevent this massacre. We ask you to listen to the voice of science, history and citizens, imposing the cancellation of these amendments from the Malan bill and blocking any attempt to reintroduce hunting of a species that the whole of Italy has protected for centuries.
